In this project completed for the Mercedes-Benz Türk Aksaray Truck Factory, Winser Technical access control systems were installed at the factory cafeteria to provide organized and controlled management of employee entrances and exits during intensive meal periods.

Large manufacturing facilities can experience very high pedestrian traffic within short periods during shift breaks and meal times. For this reason, the cafeteria entrance system must be capable of handling intensive daily use while directing personnel through clearly defined passage lanes.

WR-442-Y-D full-height turnstiles were installed at the main cafeteria access points. The full-height configuration creates clearly defined pedestrian lanes and supports organized employee movement through the cafeteria entrance and exit areas.

The turnstiles were integrated with WR-501 Mifare card readers, enabling personnel credentials to be electronically verified. Employees present their registered cards to the reader, and once authorization is confirmed, the turnstile is released for passage.

By combining physical passage control with electronic card verification, the system provides a structured solution for managing employee access to the cafeteria and organizing pedestrian flow during peak meal periods.

The multi-lane configuration is particularly useful during shift changes and lunch periods, when large numbers of employees need to enter or leave the cafeteria within a limited time.

A WR-482 stainless steel lockable access gate was also installed alongside the turnstiles to provide a wider controlled passage when required.

The stainless steel construction of the system provides a durable solution suitable for intensive daily use within a major industrial facility.
